Hi everyone,
We normally only issue newsletters every 2nd month but we have an exciting announcement that just can’t wait - so welcome to our April special!
Uncapped ADSL Uncapped internet has been the Holy Grail of internet service ever since ADSL was launched in SA around 5 years ago. For some time now one could order uncapped (for uncapped read unlimited) ADSL, but it came at a price - certainly not affordable for small business or home users. The recent announcement of an uncapped ADSL service by Mweb has thrown down the gaunlet and Internet Solutions (IS), our main ISP, have not been slow to respond - they have announced uncapped services which are very competitive, and here they are;
- 384k service; R260,00 per month inclusive of VAT
- 1024/4096k service; R590,00 per month inclusive of VAT
These new services are available right away, so if you would like to switch to uncapped ADSL please contact us - and be assured of quality service backed by Internet Solutions!

Hi everyone,
It is said that time waits for no man, which finds us in the 2nd month of 2009 - my apologies for an AWOL January newsletter.
2009 is going to be a challenging year for many - the global economy is in recession, so by definition that includes us here in SA. Time for doom & gloom? I don't think so, but if you are running a business, any business, it would be a good time to check and curb any unnecessary expenditure as most of us are going to feel some effect from this downturn. All the same now is likely to be a good time to invest, while the markets are soft, so if you have the opportunity of investing there are many bargains to be had during 2009.
Now for our February newsletter;
Overview
- Latest websites
- ISP Pricing
- Internet Explorer; Latest vulnerability

Hi everyone,
Here is Zulucom's newsletter for August 2007 - I hope that you get something of value out of each issue.
Overview Just a reminder that from end June 2007 Zulucom no longer sells PC hardware or provides on-site IT support. Our main areas of service are now; - Internet Service Provider (ISP). (dial-up, Diginet and ADSL)
- Hosting services. (website and e-mail hosting)
- Printer cartridges and toners - We supply only guaranteed originals
- General IT consulting services
Shelley and I have settled well into the new routine and we hope that you still enjoy the quick response from Zulucom which you were accustomed to. If we ever both need to be out of the office at the same time we plan to ask Justin Whittaker to stand in for us whenever possible, but in any event Chris will usually be available on cell as on 083 417 0202.

Hi everyone,
Here is Zulucom's newsletter for July 2007 - I hope that you find something of interest here!
Overview As I announced in last month's newsletter, Zulucom has moved out of field support to concentrate on hosting and ISP (Internet Service Provider) services. That process is almost complete, our field technicians Richard and Matthew having joined Neotek , and with most clients having been advised of the change. As I said last month the relationship with Neotek is good and we will continue to collaborate to the benefit of our customers. Going forward Zulucom will be manned by Chris and Shelley King, with additional support by Justin Whittaker as and when needed. |

Hi everyone, After a very long break here is our latest newsletter. I hope that you find it of interest - I will attempt to be more punctual in the future!. Overview; The big news is that Zulucom is divesting itself of IT support and returning to simply providing hosting and ISP - basically a return to roots. This will happen end June 2007. This has been a difficult decision for me but I have struggled to manage the support operation alone since Evan left - I no longer have anyone in management to fall back on and this has been a burden. I plan to retire in a few years and so I had to find a way to wind down gracefully - this is the route I have chosen. Our existing staff are being re-deployed and intend joining Neotek or other IT support companies of their choice. |

Hi everyone, Well we are nearing the end of the year so this has got to be the last (or maybe 2nd to last) newsletter of 2006 - hope that you find it of interest. Overview; The big news has got to be Evan having left for the UK and Zulucom's 10th anniversary. After almost a decade of a King partnership Evan has left Zulucom to travel and broaden his horizons - he has been in the UK since early August. He is working as a Linux developer there and is loving it - he will be there for some time to come. Before leaving he helped us transition to a leaner Zulucom which is more self-sufficient but he also helps us from afar when tricky issues arise. Evan will continue to assist us but as we take over more of these skills his input will diminish - Evan will not return to Zulucom in the near future but will always be in touch. I am very grateful to him for the work he has done working with me in building Zulucom to what it is today - his input and efforts have been invaluable and he will always be a part of Zulucom. We all wish him well.- 10th Anniversary; Yes, Zulucom will turn 10 years old on the 1st December 2006. It has been a long and interesting road, and we are proud of what we have achieved - in a constantly changing field like IT it is an on-going struggle to keep up with changes and I hope that our clients feel that we manage to do that. AGW (all going well) we will be around for another 10 years to serve you!

Well they say that if things don't change they stay the same! In this modern world what doesn't change? Certainly we have - having launched almost a decade ago Zulucom looks a lot different to what it did back then. Originally a web design house of 2 people with hosting and hardware as lowly additional services, we now consist of 8 employees and focus largely on hardware sales and site services with ISP and hosting services making up the mix. |
